On October 1st, Adobe released Beta 2 of their AIR product. Just last night, we performed an update which allows any of our AS3 widgets to be run on the desktop via Adobe AIR.
We've made it super simple to get the AIR product. Just click on the "copy me" on any of our AS3 widgets, and then choose the "AIR" option. If AIR isn't running on your machine, we'll prompt you to either start it or to install the product. Once you've installed AIR, you should be able to download any of our AS3 widgets, essentially with one click.
We've embedded one of our AS3 widgets below for those of you that want to try running them on your desktop:
Also, for those of you that just want to install AIR and our widget manager without downloading a particular widget, just click the "Install Now" link below:
Give it a shot and as always, let us know your thoughts...

Great stuff.. just a suggestion.. as all the yourminis widgets are not all AS3 widgets, it would make life easier if you provided a gallery filter for AS3 widgets only, so that one doesn't have to search by trial and error to find AS3 compatible widgets .

Lawz - For now, I'll just point out our AS3 widgets:
Legend of Zelda - Phantom Hourglass
My Night at the Grammys
Survivor China
Fantasy Football
I think that's it for now, but all of our new widgets are being built with AS3 (unless there's a specific requirement to use AS2), so you'll see this list continue to grow.

That's hard to say... Can you post a screenshot of the error message your seeing to our technical support forums? I'm assuming you're logging into our main site? Have you been able to log into the site in the past? If you could give us as much information as possible, we'll gladly work with you to resolve the issue. Thanks!

Is there an AS3 Calendar widget that accept iCal feeds?
Posted by: Darrell | May 02, 2008 at 06:37 PM
No... unfortunately, we don't have an AS3 version of the calendar at this point... no promises, but we'll see if we can update our AS2 version in the coming months... otherwise, anyone else can give it a shot with our API - http://www.yourminis.com/developers
