As part of our initiative to engage more users with our API we are redesigning the "Developers" section of our website. We hope to make it easier for newcomers to understand our API, as well as empower existing users with additional resources. Some ideas we are considering include:
- A blog aimed specifically at developers
- Simpler website design, with possible migration to a familiar platform (such as incorporation of Google Groups)
- A larger set of tutorials and samples to learn from, with better documentation
- A set of standard components to reduce development time
- General improvements to our platform regarding performance and ease of use
- More direct community interaction, including contests for developers and special recognition
We would also love to hear any ideas you have, or other feedback as well!

I think this is a great idea and overdue.
It seemed you had forgotten about your community since the takeover, so welcome back:)

I think this is a great idea, the current setup is a little hard to follow. I think a great idea would be to utilize the online test platform you already have setup. When you develop more resources have a "Try it out" button that brings up the code prefilled in the test platform, then allow the user to manipulate the actionscript and recompile the widget. Something similar to what W3Schools is doing, just as an example you can check out this link http://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_basic
